About Me
I’m Rory Brannum, and I help small business owners, leaders, and professionals engage their strengths and manage their weaknesses for more satisfying results.

Practical Coaching
You won't find a secret sauce or a magic bullet for success with me. I offer practical tools and proven approaches to help you explore your options for moving forward. You were created with a unique set of talents and gifts. Discover your strengths and use them to achieve your goals.
Strengths-Based
Frustrated with seeing little or no progress in things you don't actually enjoy? Imagine being fulling invested in your greatest talents instead.
Individualized
Life is full of "cookie-cutter" solutions. But you are a one-of-a-kind person. I coach from the context of your unique strengths.
Growth Focused
Tired of input overload? You don't need a coach to simply give you more information. I partner with clients who are ready to take action for growth.

Why Strengths?
I became a Gallup® Certified Strengths Coach because I wanted my clients to benefit from a practical assessment tool that is based on research and science.
Life is all about making course corrections as we go. But too often we only focus on the things we don't do well and don't enjoy. I help my clients tap into the power of what they do best.
Don't settle for the mediocrity that comes from trying to be great at everything. Instead, let's work together to turn your natural talents into exceptional strengths.
Discover Your Talents
I’ll join you on a journey to identify your strengths with an assessment that is used by 90% of Fortune 500 companies and has been taken by over 20 million people worldwide. Discover and rank your dominant, supporting, and lesser themes of talent.
Turn Your Talents Into Strengths
Together, we'll explore ways that you can invest in your top themes of talent. This is where you have the greatest potential for growth and success.
Apply Your Strengths to Your Goals
I offer coaching that leads to action. Aim your strengths daily and see the difference it can make in the areas of engagement, productivity, and satisfaction.
A Personal Note
We all need people in our lives who see the best in us and encourage us through the highs and lows. For me, that is my wife, Linda. She inspires me to be a better person and a better coach.

My Coaching Journey
A little background
I came to coaching after many years in business.
My perspectives are shaped from my experiences as an employee, independent contractor, business owner, founder, CFO, and entrepreneur.
I also worked cross-culturally for several years in the non-profit sector, and I have served for over a decade on the board of a Christian non-profit that has trained thousands of church leaders in Africa.
I find it impossible to view life and people from a single lens.
One thing I discovered about coaching
I've discovered that what I enjoy most about coaching is the breakthrough moment when a client sees a path forward that he or she hasn't considered before.
Sometimes it flows from a better understanding of self.
Other times it comes after wrestling with a good question at just the right time.
Those are powerful moments that bring clarity to actions and decisions, and I love to be there when they happen. Coaching brings me a lot of joy.
My misconceptions about coaching
But I have a confession. I didn't always appreciate the profession of coaching.
In fact, for a long time I didn't even know what it was.
Like so many, I had this image of a person giving positive affirmations and flowery lessons on life.
Frankly, I was a bit suspicious. Whatever coaching was, I certainly didn't need it or want it. Or so I thought.
It's unfortunate that I didn't understand the value of coaching many years ago. I could have made better decisions and avoided a few wrong turns along the way.
Experiences That Shape My Perspectives
I'm faith-based, but you don't have to be to work with me
My worldview and the regard I have for each person is shaped by my faith in Jesus Christ.
As a faith-based strengths coach, I appreciate that we are each wonderfully made with unique talents and gifts.
I don’t impose my personal views on my clients. But I do think this perspective helps me to facilitate discussions with some clients who are wanting to apply their gifts and strengths to their spiritual journey.
That’s not for all my clients. I get it.
But if that matters to you, perhaps we would work well together.
I would be happy to meet you
What about you? As our paths cross here today, would it be helpful to talk?
It could be that a single conversation is as far as we go.
Or we may discover that it would be helpful to journey together for a season.
Either way, I would be happy to meet you to explore the possibilities.
Reach out and let’s talk.

I offer an assortment of flexible options for weekly or monthly coaching.
